About Dr Marc Johnson

Dr Marc Johnson is a behavioural psychologist, neuropsychologist, psychotherapist, educator and keynote speaker whose work explores resilience, pressure, human behaviour and decision-making when the stakes are high.

His professional career has crossed healthcare, psychology, education, organisational leadership, the justice system and work in challenging international environments.

Earlier in his career, Marc served in the British military before going on to build a diverse professional life in healthcare and psychology. In 2004, while working in Iraq as a specialist consultant supporting the U.S. Department of Defense, he was critically injured during a mortar attack.

His subsequent recovery would profoundly shape both his professional work and his understanding of resilience. Rather than approaching the subject purely as an academic concept, Marc brings together psychological science, clinical experience and first-hand experience of what happens when life changes without warning.

Today, his talks explore how people respond to pressure, uncertainty, adversity and responsibility; why our thinking and behaviour can change when demands increase; and what enables individuals and organisations to develop greater resilience and adaptability.

Marc is known for a conversational and thought-provoking speaking style that combines serious psychological insight with real-world experience, humanity and occasional humour.

His presentations can be adapted for corporate audiences, professional organisations, healthcare, education, leadership events, public-sector organisations and conferences in the UK and internationally.
