Meet Dr. Marc Johnson

Chronic Health and Life Coach | Behavioural Psychology Specialist

Dr. Marc Johnson JP, Ph.D., MSc, MS, MMed, FRSPH, MNCH(Acc), MCNHC, HPD (NCH) is an experienced behavioural psychologist, coach, and therapist with a unique background in both clinical practice and international medical advisory work. Before retraining in the psychologies, Dr. Marc served as a medical advisor to international governments and military organisations, building extensive expertise in pre-hospital trauma medicine. His career path shifted after being badly injured in Iraq in 2004, leading him to specialise in clinical conditions and expand his skills into health and life coaching.

Based in North Wales, UK, Dr. Marc runs a busy clinical practice while also teaching courses in a variety of clinical and psychological topics. His expertise in PTSD management has made a significant impact, particularly with veterans and individuals affected by violence or terrorism. In recognition of his work with children and families directly affected by the Manchester Arena bombing, he was awarded a national honour in 2018 and was later made a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health.

Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Marc serves as a Judicial Office Holder in the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts. He is passionate about clear communication, making complex topics in hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, and clinical science accessible to the public, the media, and fellow therapists.

Dr. Marc also delivers inspirational talks on moving from PTSD to post-traumatic growth, as well as his signature “Surviving and Thriving” approach — reflecting his belief that with the right guidance, anyone can rebuild, realign, and rise stronger than ever.
